On Wednesday, November 22, Greystone College Vancouver hosted its annual alumni event, bringing together graduates from across the community. The 2017 gathering was particularly meaningful, as Greystone College marked its 15th anniversary, making the occasion a special opportunity to reconnect, celebrate shared experiences, and recognize the achievements of its alumni.
Alumni who were unable to attend in person were still able to take part in the celebration in meaningful ways. Graduates from across the Greystone College community were invited to share their personal Greystone stories, reflecting on their experiences, growth, and achievements since completing their studies. As part of this initiative, alumni also had the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a Greystone College scholarship valued at one course’s tuition.
The evening itself was filled with warmth and emotion, as the stories shared brought laughter, reflection, and even a few tears of joy. Hearing firsthand accounts from Greystone alumni highlighted the impact of their educational journeys and created a strong sense of connection and pride across the community.
Armando Gomez Medina, 2012 IBM graduate, shared his journey after Greystone College, and was chosen by all attendees as the scholarship winner! Armando will pass on his scholarship to his brother Ricardo, who will be able to experience the Greystone life and take on global opportunities like his big brother Armando did!
