Skills Plus Option

Influencing through Social Media

Level up your English learning and explore a topic that matches your interests, talents, and goals!

Skills Plus is designed for students aged 13-17 years old who are at an intermediate level of English. Skills Plus classes are focused on learning topics that are relevant, relatable, and interesting to teens.

In our Residential Junior summer camp program at UBC, the Skills Plus class option in 2025 is Influencing Through Social Media (intermediate 2+).

The Influencing Through Social Media class allows students to develop their skills as social media communicators and build their social media presence by learning about the qualities of a successful brand identity such as authenticity, credibility, expertise, and relatability.

Skills Plus is optional, and available during specific weeks of the program for an additional fee. Students who choose this option take it instead of General English classes.
