Admission Requirements
To be admitted to any Greystone College program, prospective students must meet specific requirements regarding age, prior education and English level. Some programs require pre-requisites.
Language Entry Requirements for International Students
When you apply to Greystone College, you'll be able to take our FREE Pre-Arrival Online Language Assessment to determine your ILSC Language Level. Students who do not yet meet the language entry requirement can create a package program that starts with studies at ILSC Language Schools.
If you already have a valid score from another approved test, or if you have completed a minimum of three full years of study in a secondary or post-secondary institution where the sole language of instruction is English within the last 5 years, you can provide proof of your test result or studies to fulfill the language entry requirement. Level equivalencies for common tests like IELTS, TOEIC, and Duolingo are listed below.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a way of getting any previous relevant experience - working, training, volunteering, including activities in the community - formally recognised towards a qualification. The RPL process is available to all students.
Applications for RPL must be submitted either before you commence or during the first term of study. Applications for RPL will only be accepted if:
- you are enrolled in an approved course; and
- the appropriate fee has been paid; and
- the application is made in the first term of study
- RPL may result in your study duration and student visa being shortened.
All RPL applications must meet ESOS Act requirements when applied to student visa holders.
Credit for Prior Education
Credit Transfer applies if the student holds a Statement of Attainment for a Unit of Competency and this unit can be credited towards the qualification they are enrolled in. You will need statements of academic achievement to support your request for credit transfer.
Credit Transfer only applies to the course you are enrolled in. If you change courses, your Credit Transfer will be reviewed to ensure that it is still appropriate. Please review the full Recognition of Prior Learning & Credit Transfer Policy for full details. All Credit Transfer applications must meet ESOS Act requirements when applied to student visa holders.
Nationally Recognised Training
All courses offered at Greystone College are accredited courses and are nationally recognised. Nationally recognised training is any programme of training leading to vocational qualifications and credentials that are recognised across Australia. This means the course you study at Greystone College:
