Greystone College ST Star Award
On September 2, members of ILSC, ELS, and Greystone College were delighted to attend the Study Travel Star Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House in London, UK, and to receive two big wins at the event, with ILSC Language Schools / ELS winning the Star Chain School 2023, and Greystone College winning Star Vocational College 2023!
For Greystone College, this marks the second time the college has won the Star Vocational College award. ‘’The continued growth and development of Greystone College in both Australia and Canada has become an increasingly important pillar of ILSC’s global strategy. Winning this award is a testament to our team’s tireless commitment to continually develop innovative and relevant programs that prepare students for success in the global workplace,” said Chris Nolan, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of ILSC, ELS and Greystone College.
The Study Travel Star Awards are highly respected within the international education industry, and winners are determined through a peer-voting system, with agent partners voting for educational institutions and vice-versa. Winning these agent-voted awards reflects the quality of service, programming, and relationships that winners provide.

Greystone College Australia
In Australia, the Greystone College Team is going from strength to strength as we navigate a challenging and changing regulatory landscape.

We celebrate our first Greystone College students starting their studies at our Perth Campus with its groundbreaking fitout. The Lord Mayor of Perth, Basil Zempilas, and Steven Jacobs, a respected Whadjuk Traditional Owner and Elder, warmly welcome ILSC Language Schools and Greystone College to the city of Perth.
At an operational level, we have the highest ever completion rates nationally and are steadily moving to new heights each month. Student satisfaction with trainers remains high and we have the highest satisfaction around our assessments.
Adam Swiatowy has been joining our amazing Sales Team on University Pathways and at Greystone College events around the country, thereby generating a greater understanding of our programs and the student experience. A few highlights include showcasing our market response on-point programs of Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, and Digital Technology; our guest speaker program that engaged industry to give real-life examples and case studies; and a student end-of-term graduation and party to celebrate and bring together the Greystone College community.
In 2024, staff at Greystone College will see more students return to studies, and the growth of Perth building new staff and faculty in Greystone College. Increased Professional development in the digital space to support a growing need for educators to educate on multiple platforms. The AI space is a space that asks us to know our students better to recognize their knowledge as well as build AI skills which the industry will expect our graduates to know how to use ethically. The Greystone College Australia Team recently attended the VELG Conference in the Gold Coast building an understanding of the new RTO standards and timeline of their implementation, AI and digital use in the classroom, and the increasing importance of employability for international students as industry and government look to the sector to support the skills gap.
Greystone College Canada
In Canada, there is much excitement around the Greystone College brand, and this excitement can be observed as we graduate more students than ever before!
Celebrating the Hundreds of Greystone College Graduates in Montréal
The have been several policy changes in the province of Quebec throughout 2022 and 2023, which is where the Montréal instance of Greystone College is located – formally known there as Collège Greystone – for all you French aficionados! But these changes have not deterred international students from attending – and graduating – from our two programs there: Digital Marketing and International Business Management. To celebrate the resilience and adaptability of over 700 graduates from our Montréal College, we rented a historic theatre in the heart of the city, Cinema L’Imperial, where friends and family from around the world gathered and shed a few tears of pride for their graduates.
Over two days, the space was filled with the pride of achievement, the gratitude for exceptional faculty, and the joy of crossing a significant milestone. Our students displayed their unwavering dedication and commitment throughout their academic journey. This graduation wasn't just a ceremony; it was a testament to their hard work and the promising future they're embarking on. Let's see you also try not to shed a couple of tears while watching this video of the two special days!
Thank you again to the faculty and student advising staff who commit 100% of their energy and care to the success of our students. A giant thank you to Parvesh Chainani, the Director of Programs at the Montréal campus, and mastermind behind the magic.
Greystone College: Events Worth Celebrating!
Some of the highlights of the Canadian colleges are the vast number of career services that are offered to students, all of which support students from pre-arrival to post-graduation, at every step of their journey with us and they include:
- Monthly Job Club workshops in which any students (including ILSC language students) can benefit from free resume writing and cover letter writing expertise.
- Career fairs two or three times a year on each campus, where any Greystone College student can meet up to 20 potential employers and interview with them on the spot at the school. Interviewing “on home turf” is always an advantage, and both our employers and students seem to find the perfect match!
- Cap and gown graduation ceremonies: As these have grown in student numbers, the events have grown in size as well! With formal valedictorian speeches, keynote speakers, and a large number of guests, these events are the perfect ones to celebrate the commitments and successes of our students.
- Monthly free workshops by immigration professionals through which our students can work on their next steps in their visa, work permit, or residency path.
In Canada, students can sign up for an academic-only course of study, during which students can work 20 hours per week, but the most popular programs are our “Co-op” programs. 85% of our students join a co-op program rather than academics-only, which doubles the length of their program and provides students with work-experience directly related to their course of study. This option is proving very popular indeed!
