The DVS, Information Technology Support program prepares you to become a front-line IT technician, ready to tackle a variety of hardware, software, and network issues across different industries. You’ll learn to troubleshoot and maintain systems while providing both in-person and remote customer support, with plenty of hands-on practical training throughout the course.

In the 24-week internship/practicum, you’ll apply what you’ve learned in a real-world setting, gaining invaluable experience that bridges the gap between classroom knowledge and industry practice.

Schedule includes 78 weeks study + 6 weeks scheduled breaks + 24 week internship/practicum placement.

Study schedules apply to all academic parts of your program. During the internship/practicum term, your work schedule will be determined based on the needs of your employer. Total Program Hours: 1800

About the Internship/Practicum

The DVS, Informational Technology Support combines academic study with practical work experience related to your study area. The internship/practicum program includes: Documentation support, interview and job preparation, résumé building, monitoring throughout the practicum placement, and job search tips. The student is responsible for the payment of any government fees related to the application for a work permit and the extension of study permit.

Students learn how to assemble, install, and set up computer hardware and peripherals for use.
