Karyn McMillan:
Director of Greystone College Canada

Who is Greystone College Canada?! At the helm of the college stand our smart, energetic, compassionate and humble leader Karyn McMillan, who supports each highly effective leader of the 3 Canadian campuses– our Director of Greystone College Programs, Lina Serratos in Vancouver; Graham Arnold in Toronto; and Parvesh Chainani in Montreal. A dedicated rockstar leadership team (if you know them personally, then you agree, I’m sure)!

As our colleges continue to grow, our students and instructors are supported by an expanding team of Program Managers and Assistant Directors of Training: Brad Johnson, Wendy Wells, Hinako Takeuchi, Alexander Habib, Ammar Kahia. Thank you to this strong team of instructors-subject matter experts-administrators-and-leaders who do so much, know so much, go out of their way to support the teams, and do it all so well!

None of our colleges could run smoothly without the work, the diligence, the rigour, and the guidance of our Quality Assurance team, which is comprised of our small but quickly growing Curriculum and Compliance team, currently comprised of Grace Pyo and Jean-Philippe Bourdeau. At the center of the organization – the bones of the institution - are our talented, engaging, and knowledgeable instructors who will be highlighted on our next newsletter! Stay tuned.

2. Celebrating student successes:

While Greystone College Canada lost several students in the early days of the pandemic, they were right back at close-to-pre-pandemic numbers by early 2022 after the borders reopened, and the numbers have kept increasing, from under 700 students in Jan 2022 to just over 1600 in September 2022 – more than a 100% increase in student number in under 9 months.

With those increased student numbers come many inspiring success stories that we get to celebrate every quarter through our graduation ceremonies. These events have become a highlight of the students’ journey, as well as for the entire teaching and administrative staff at Greystone College Canada. This video shows an example of such a memorable graduation, from our Montreal campus. Enjoy!

3. Co-op and Career Fairs:

Co-op or Co-operative Education is a popular hands-on learning approach in the Canadian education system. Co-op and Practicum programs combine academic study terms with paid or unpaid* work terms to help you get on-the-job experience and start building relevant networks during your studies.

At Greystone College Canada, Co-op and Practicum students get access to our extensive employer network and unparalleled support from our experienced co-op advising team to help them find relevant business, hospitality, or digital marketing placements, guaranteed! At Greystone College Canada, Co-op and practicum positions are part of students’ overall study program. If students chose the Co-op option, they are required for successful graduation and must be related to the program of study.

Greystone College Canada holds career fairs in the spring and fall at each of our locations in Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver.  Our career fairs offer an exciting networking opportunity and a chance for Greystone College students to connect with local employers that are currently or regularly hiring. Just a few weeks ago, Vancouver hosted its second career fair of the year with 12 employers in attendance and over 100 students finding jobs. Congrats to both the students and the organizing committee!
