ILSC Language Schools was founded in Vancouver, BC in 1991 as a student-centered private language school. The student learning process was created as a meaningful and enjoyable experience for all students wishing to acquire English Language skills. ILSC’s roots lie in the belief that transformative experiences are possible by empowering students through education.
ILSC has grown to include 8 incredible locations around the world, in Montréal; Toronto; and Vancouver, Canada; New Delhi, India; and Adelaide, Brisbane; Melbourne; and Sydney, Australia. In September we have approximately 4,500 language students studying with us.
In Vancouver we are it all began, we have a long history of teacher developed curriculum with students enjoying a variety of cultural and creative English classes, along with more traditional English programs including Foundations, Communications, IELTS, Cambridge and English for Academic Purposes. That format and courses were used and adapted as other locations were opened, including the addition of French and Hindi courses.
We had the pleasure of welcoming ELS Vancouver teachers, staff and students to our school in April, adding to our talented and dynamic team of faculty and staff.

In Vancouver, we currently operate out 3 campuses with 55 classrooms that are shared between ILSC Vancouver and Greystone College Vancouver, our private career college. In the summer, our staff and faculty numbers grow as we welcome a number of short-term junior students to study at ILSC. This year, we operated a program in North Vancouver that was originally developed by ELS, which will continue next year. Next year, we will resume our junior campus at the beautiful University of British Columbia residence.
Our Vancouver based language testing team arranges high stakes English language proficiency tests including IELTS, CELPIP and Cambridge.
Globally, we are coming to the end of a busy summer in Canada and we are preparing for our biggest Australian intake this year in session 10!
