Reporting to the Global IT Director and working with the systems support team, this role is responsible for instituting and managing hardware, software and IT infrastructure both locally and globally for ILSC locations. This role requires one to be organized, motivated, and able to communicate at all levels within the organization. He/she will be able to translate business needs into technical solutions for the client groups and will apply a practical mindset when designing solutions which are appropriate for the size, scope and timelines of the respective project. 

About You: 

  • Takes a leading role in the evaluation, recommendation, piloting, testing and launch of new hardware, software and apps. 

  • Proactively keeps the network secure by monitoring and administering antivirus/antispam software. 

  • Resolves staff issues concerning hardware, software, networking, active directory, and applications.  

  • Reduces downtime by monitoring critical systems globally. 

  • Responds to queries received over the ticket system, phone, email or walk-ins, triaging each in a prioritized and timely manner. 

  • Records issues in the tracking software, owns request tickets, performing proper follow-ups and ensures proper closure is reached and communicated. 

  • Helps create Help Desk/desktop communications, announcements and presentations to the company and sub groups. 

  • Ready to research questions using online searches, manuals, publications and variety of resources, including other IT staff and vendors to troubleshoot and answer customer questions. 

  • Participates in planning, creation and improvement of information on the helpdesk and intranet IT site. 

  • Manages, maintains and improves technical documentation. 

  • Coordinates with vendors and service providers for in-warranty hardware replacement and service.  

  • Follows standard guidelines to install and configure new equipment and peripherals, moving and updating equipment for regular replacement and to accommodate staff moves and changes. 

  • Improve and execute methodology & best practices for successful implementation and deployment. 

  • Think outside the box to help improve processes, implement new technologies, and develop innovative solutions. 

  • Upgrade current design to be scalable and support planned growth for ILSC. 

  • Builds positive relationships – works to build or maintain effective relationships or networks with internal or external partners whose cooperation is important to present/future success. 

  • Team-oriented and shows initiative and creativity.   

  • Collaboration with local and remote colleagues to foster learning, knowledge transfer, and leveraging our global structure. 

  • Directs systems support staff to address production issues and drive infrastructure initiatives towards completion

Required Skills: 

  • Training or Certifications in A+, MCSE, N+ or equivalent experience 

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 7-10, Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2012r2, Office products 2010-2013, Apple OSX 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure technologies like Exchange, Lync/Skype For Business, Sharepoint, WSUS, WDS, ADFS, Print Management, IIS, Azure 

  • Windows Active Directory User and Computer Administration 

  • MS Exchange/Outlook user account and server administration as well as antispam technology 

  • Experience with Office 365 in a hybrid platform 

  • Strong knowledge of group policy and PowerShell scripting 

  • Knowledge of network and application monitoring/troubleshooting solutions 

  • Working with various off-the-shelf and proprietary applications 

  • Familiar with media stream devices and systems 

  • Experience with enterprise networking equipment like firewalls, switches, access points and cabling. 

  • Experience administering VMWare/VCenter 

  • Able to prioritize expectations and recognizes when issues/events may affect delivery 

  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships 

  • Proficient in English – both oral and written 

  • Ability to work independently and in a team
