Operating in a dynamic environment, this senior role manages several teams, including ELICOS managers, student advisors and reception staff. In addition to multi-department oversight, this role supports the director in operational aspects or running the school.  This position will be reporting to the Regional Director of Operations. 

Job Duties: 

ACADEMIC:

  • Overseeing ELICOS department and ensuring managers are meeting KPIs and following best practices
  • Conducting monthly meetings with academic teams to review class KPIs, NPS feedback from students, teacher performance and class selection
  • Working with other campuses, nationally and globally, to ensure consistent delivery of ILSC curriculum
  • Ensuring overall compliance of ELICOS department

STUDENT SUPPORT:

  • Supporting the administrative staff in solving student issues, intervening in higher level issues and escalating to the director if need be
  • Review student complaints and requests for cancelation/withdrawals, exceptional circumstanced and escalate issues to the appropriate stakeholder

HR:

  • Managing the admin, activities and reception teams in terms of:
    •  Recruitment and hiring
    • Onboarding
    • Performance review
    • Annual leave cover
  • Supervise and work with staff to ensure prompt, helpful, friendly, professional and continuous engagement with agents, prospective students, ILSC students, and all other constituents.
  • Communicating employment changes to national departments
  • Holding monthly advisor meetings to review student issues, conduct ongoing training and build up team culture
  • Working with director in rolling out new HR practices at local campus level

OPERATIONAL:

  • Facilities management, including IT infrastructure and day to day operations, including trouble shooting for computer issues
  • Supporting roll-out of new technologies and ensuring adaptation is school-wide
  • Tracking, reporting and managing classroom capacity and planning overflow space

OTHER:

  • Supporting agent visits and FAM trips
  • Working with ILSC Sales and Marketing team to deal with issues, take feedback and provide clarity on questions that arise
  • Contributing to ILSC’s strategic plan by being involved in national and global initiatives
  • Supporting intake Mondays and assisting with logistics planning
  • Supporting the sales and marketing departments in liaising with agent partners
  • Leading and participating in CSR initiatives
  • Developing, fostering and instilling the ILSC philosophy with new and current staff
  • Consistently conducting oneself in a professional manner. A warm, friendly and supportive approach towards the clients of ILSC is needed so that each student/staff is made to feel cared for and welcomed.
  • Enforcement of the “English Only” policy
  • Maintenance of a safe, tidy and organized work area
  • Participation in public relations events
  • Participation in peak bodies (NEAS, EA, ACPET)
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes: 

1. Level of Education Required:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • DELTA/Master’s in TESOL from a recognized institution

  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment

2. Work Experience Required

  • At least 5 to 7 years academic management experience, preferably with ILSC
  • Valid work visa for Australia required (full-time unrestricted only)
