ILSC & Greystone College Australia Implementing Vaccination Policy and Return to Campus Plan
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we at ILSC Education Group have kept a close watch on our local realities and continuously adapted our operations in alignment with federal, state, and local health policies to keep our staff, students, and stakeholders safe while providing excellent and transformative learning and living experiences.
In Australia, we’ve been challenged throughout 2021 with both prolonged and sporadic lockdowns at all of our four locations. Thankfully, the nation’s successful vaccination campaign, the wide availability of vaccinations for anyone over the age of 12, and the supportive health measures and guidance we’ve been given are supporting us to return to in-school delivery options at all four of our Australian campuses.
From 8 November, the Melbourne and Sydney campuses will return to offering in-school delivery options and will be implementing a Vaccination Policy that aligns with the Victorian and New South Wales government guidance for education providers. These vaccination requirements require all staff, students and visitors to provide proof of full COVID vaccination. This check-in procedure, which is the same that is currently in use in retail and hospitality venues across Melbourne and Sydney, will confirm a valid COVID vaccination certificate upon entry to the school.
From 8 November, the Melbourne and Sydney campuses will resume on-site delivery of ELICOS classes for fully vaccinated staff and students, with online options available for all students. Our VET classes will continue to be taught online with limited on-site options for eligible and interested students.
If a student or staff cannot be vaccinated because of a protected reason such as a medical condition, the school will work with them to find a reasonable solution.
As the Queensland and South Australian governments have yet to provide guidance on vaccination requirements for education providers, the Brisbane and Adelaide schools will continue their usual on-site delivery under current COVID-safe protocols. While we intend for the vaccination policy to eventually apply at both of these campuses, the effective date has not yet been determined.
We will continue to make necessary operational adjustments in the management of our campuses in line with government guidance and WorkSafe advice.
Please read our full Vaccination Policy for ILSC and Greystone College Australia to understand how we’re ensuring that ILSC and Greystone College staff, students, and contractors can stay safe, and continue to meet their work and study goals.
The new Vaccination Policy complements the many measures we’ve already taken to create safe working and learning environments during the pandemic. As we move forward and welcome more and more students to our campuses, we will continue to keep all of our partners, students, and staff informed of changes. We thank you for your collective efforts to support the health and safety of our ILSC and Greystone College community.
