ELS Staff/Faculty Being Brought into the ILSC & Greystone College Technology Ecosystem

During the month of November, we are moving ELS user accounts into our ecosystem which will allow ELS, ILSC, and Greystone College team members to collaborate seamlessly as one organization.

Student Connect (student.ilsceducation.com)

We continue to evolve Student Connect’s content, navigation, and overall user-experience to help support our students’ journey. We will be adding ELS information and ensuring our student apps have direct access to key areas within Student Connect.

myILSC & myGreystone Apps

New versions of our student apps are available in the Apple & Google Play stores. These new versions allow us to quickly update the app, provide greater stability for IOS and Android devices, and improved responsiveness while being used.

Please feel free to download our app and login using our demo account:

To find our apps, open your devices App store and search for ‘myilsc’ or ‘mygreystone’.

Security Awareness Training

Throughout the last 2 quarters, there have been two training campaigns to raise the technology security awareness for all staff and faculty. This training is important to the safety of our organization’s technology infrastructure and protection of our confidential data.

Going forward, we will continue with our Security Awareness Training each quarter to allow everyone in our organization to keep up to date with the latest security threats. This entails a training module of 3 short videos (1-2 mins) to review. There is also a simulated phishing campaign where users’ knowledge is tested so we can identify where to improve security. Everyone is making good use of the ‘Phish Alert Report’ button in MS Outlook to identify phishing emails. Email is the biggest security threat to our cyber security.

Hardware Upgrades

All our locations continue to see increased usage of our wireless internet. We will work to upgrade locations wireless around the globe in 2024. Furthermore, we will continue our migration to laptops for all faculty with ELS campuses and Brisbane being our focus.

Odyssey 1.2

ELS is using an enhanced version of Odyssey which is designed to lessen the amount of duplicate data entry for the registration teams and integrate with our student and agent portal. These features will be developed for ILSC Greystone throughout the next year.

Microsoft Teams

In January 2024, there will be a new version of Microsoft Teams pushed out to all education users. To see the improvements made in this latest update, read more here.
