Curriculum Development Team

GC Australia Curriculum Development Team-1

Greystone College Australia’s Curriculum Development team is in the middle of its second intensive build. The first completed in March of 2022 was transitioning the full scope of Qualifications to the new Business Package. This was an intense build of over 67 units and ten qualifications on tight government timelines for transition. As part of that process, the team worked closely with subject matter experts, external assessment validators, and Greystone Faculty leaders and trainers. Through strong collaboration, the intensive build allowed us to successfully deliver new units built in Moodle and new assessments incorporating a lighter framework for students and trainers, complimented by supportive videos produced by the design team outlining the units and assessments for users.

The Curriculum Development team also launched the following market-successful specializations:

  • Cert III - Specialization in Workplace Fundamentals
  • Cert III Specialization in Business Basics
  • Cert IV Specialization in Business Essentials
  • Cert IV Specialization in Communications for Managers
  • Dip - Specialization in Resources for Project Managers
  • Specialization in Project Management Mastery

The team is currently halfway through an extension to add five additional qualifications and two skill sets to scope the learning and industry trends in the innovation, digital and sustainability space. Along with the advancements of the last build, the Curriculum Development team is building fully aligned delivery slides to guide and support a highly engaging, consistent, and dynamic delivery.

  • Cert III in Entrepreneurship and New Business
  • Cert IV Business (Leadership)
  • Cert IV Business (Sustainability)
  • Diploma of Business (Digital Transformation)
  •  Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication
  • Innovation Practice Skill Set
  • Innovation Leadership Skill Set

Quality Assurance Team

Greystone College Australia Quality Assurance Team

  • The Quality Assurance team is under the new leadership of Michael Richards as our Director of Quality Assurance. Michael is impressively equipped to lead the team, having held roles as our Director of Studies and Training and working with us for over a decade, making him conversant in the regulatory structures across both ELICOS and VET.

The team covers second appeals, external complaints, academic progress, attendance tracking, and communications, as well as the build and roll-out of VET and ELICOS metrics and PowerBi reports on areas of regulatory and quality assurance importance and provider risk strategy.

The Quality Assurance team also oversees the GTE team, which forms part of our provider risk management strategy. They work closely with the registration and sales teams to support students in presenting their plans surrounding studying in Australia.

The GTE team is led by Michael Richards with Katia doing daily allocations: Anna Baranowski, Lee Leow, and Nam Mueangputta.

2. Virtual and On-Campus Class Delivery

Majority of our students have enjoyed the flexibility of joining national online classes. However, to cater for students looking for a campus experience, we commenced our In-Campus delivery with a suite of qualifications offered on the weekend from S8. We then began offering two more In-Campus qualifications weekdays from S12. We plan to continue to review the balance of delivery options to meet students’ needs during 2023.

3. Multifaceted Operational Focus

Greystone College’s operational focus has been on connectivity, engagement, and quality assurance. Some examples are:

  • Shifting Academic Progress meetings from the senior faculty to our Trainers
  • Delivering trainer PD on digital tools and engagement
  • Undertaking deep marking audits to ensure quality and fair marking is calibrated across units and trainers
  • Actively working to build greater inter-department connections
  • Consulting and supporting sales and sales events

5. Events

Greystone College Australia held an on-campus graduation in Melbourne in December of 2022. We look forward to celebrating student, staff, and faculty success with more graduation ceremonies to commence in early 2023.

August saw a fabulous National Roadshow showcasing Greystone College as a key pathway for ILSC’s UPath program. We were joined nationally by other key pathway partners and had an overwhelming response from students interested in the next steps of their study journeys. Concurrent job fairs were also run with one of our partners.

National Roadshow

Adam Swiatowy, National Director of Training, ran a simulated Leadership class with our sales team to showcase the dynamic and aligned online delivery; this was then run for some of our agent partners late September.

Innovation Guest speaker Janet Sernack, the Founder and COE at Innovation Leader, presented a National session on Innovation in Leadership open to all Greystone College Students and Trainers the last week in September 2022.
