Job Location: 

ILSC is searching for a new Local Student Recruiter and Marketing Assistant! The role is an outcome driven position, in which success is measured in terms of growth in student numbers. This growth should be directly linked to the marketing and communication efforts of the recruiter.

The Local Student Recruiter and Marketing Assistant role reports directly to the school director and collaborates actively with the marketing team, which is based in Vancouver, BC


Job Duties: 

Relationships with Local Community and Organizations

Maintain an up-to-date list of local agencies and nurture these relationship including regular visits, training, etc.

Identify and communicate with organizations as a source of new students (in-person and electronically, etc)

Connect and nurture relationship with local businesses, non-profits, multicultural institutions, community centers, etc. Distribute marketing materials to these organizations as necessary

Creating a brand and a presence for ILSC via professional fairs and Meet-Up Groups

Coordinating Open House events

Marketing tasks

Collaborating with Marketing HQ to create promotions and campaigns

Track leads and conversions and drive growth

Collaborating with the DM team for online campaigns targeting local clientele

Coordinating the distribution of marketing materials for various campaigns

Sharing local market intelligent with Marketing HQ

Registration & Student Advising

Nurturing leads and responding to local inquiries (in-person, via email, phone, SM)

Registering walk-ins and local bookings in Odyssey

Creating invoices and collecting payment

On-site counseling for local students (coordinating with other departments/services as necessary –such as extensions, academic progress, etc)

Social Media & Communications

Collecting and coordinating student feedback and testimonials (coordinating with the Local Communications Coordinator, LCC)

Provide/coordinate content for digital marketing for posting on blogs, etc.

Attending to walk-ins and leading school tours for local potential students

Coordinating the LCC with SM campaigns and updates


Creating and implementing a student recruitment plan

Tracking bookings on a weekly basis

Submitting a weekly & sessional activity report

Submitting a sessional incentive report

Participating in bi-weekly direct recruiting meetings
